01
Concept Design Support

Defining Your Vision

At MARINSPIRE, we provide expert support during the early stages of a Newbuilding project by helping our Clients shape a technically sound and economically viable vessel concept.

Conceptual Design Assessment & Optimization

We critically evaluate initial design concepts to ensure alignment with operational goals, commercial strategy, and regulatory compliance, offering optimization guidance to improve performance, and cost-effectiveness from the outset.

Technical Specification Drafting & Review

We assist in preparing or refining the vessel's technical specifications, ensuring it is clear, enforceable, and tailored to the Client's needs. Our reviews ensure that no critical aspects are overlooked and that the document provides a solid contractual foundation for the project.

Design Feasibility Studies & Analysis

We conduct thorough feasibility assessments to validate that the proposed design can be realistically built and operated as intended, evaluating risk factors, construction constraints, and integration of selected technologies.

02
Pre-Contract Support

Laying the Groundwork

Selecting the right Shipyard and establishing clear contractual frameworks are critical steps to shape the outcomes of a newbuilding project.

Shipyard Evaluation

We provide comprehensive shipyard evaluation services to help Shipowners make informed and strategic choices. Drawing on our extensive experience with major shipyards across the Far East, in Korea, China, Japan and Vietnam, we assess each yard's technical capabilities, production quality, infrastructure, and delivery performance. We also perform comparative analyses between shortlisted yards, taking into account the unique requirements of each project to determine the most suitable Builder.

Technical Negotiations & TBS Review

We support Shipowners in navigating the crucial early-phase discussions that define the technical foundation of a Newbuilding project. Our team leads and advises on technical negotiations with Builder's ensuring that the Owner's requirements are clearly understood and firmly integrated into the project scope. We also conduct detailed Technical Building Specifications reviews, identifying inconsistencies, omissions, or unclear language that may lead to future conflicts, cost overruns, or substandard execution. With our deep understanding of shipbuilding practices and regulatory frameworks, we help refine the specifications to achieve clarity, compliance, and enforceability, ensuring a robust technical baseline for contract signing and project execution.

Shipbuilding Contract Review

We provide expert support in reviewing and refining Shipbuilding Contracts (SBC) to protect the Owner's interests from a technical perspective.

03
Engineering Review Support

Securing Technical Excellence

By combining hands-on industry experience with a database of proven concepts and arrangements, we help ensure every system, drawing, and component contributes to a vessel that is technically sound, compliant, and operationally efficient.

Equipment Manufacturer Selection

We assist Shipowners in the strategic selection of Makers and onboard equipment to ensure the best balance between technical performance, reliability, cost-efficiency, and especially after-sales support. Leveraging our extensive experience with leading manufacturers and equipment suppliers, we evaluate each Maker's compatibility with project specifications and operational expectations. We also support Shipowners in the discussion, and negotiation of Owner's Benefits (OBs) directly with equipment makers when needed.

Drawings & Plan Approval

We provide thorough and proactive plan approval services, ensuring that all drawings and documents submitted by the Builder and Makers are fully compliant with the Technical Building Specifications and applicable regulations. Our detailed reviews focus on identifying technical inconsistencies, design flaws and issues early, preventing costly modifications and delays during construction. What sets us apart is our extensive in-house database of technical concepts and philosophies accumulated across numerous projects with different Shipowners. This diverse knowledge base gives us a unique comparative perspective on various design solutions and operational practices enabling us to propose practical, experience-based enhancements tailored to the specific needs of each project.

04
On-Site Supervision

On-Site Construction Supervision

Acting as the shipowner's technical voice on site, we ensure that every decision and every detail throughout the construction phase reflects the owner's best interests, contractual rights, and quality expectations.

Construction Supervision

At MARINSPIRE, we consider Construction Supervision the cornerstone of project success. Even the most advanced design and well-written specifications can fall short if execution at the shipyard is not closely and competently managed and supervised. Our supervision teams are composed exclusively of experienced naval architects and marine engineers, with years of hands-on involvement in newbuilding projects across Korea, China, Japan, and Vietnam. We maintain a constant on-site presence, ensuring that construction is carried out strictly in accordance with Technical Building Specifications, approved PCRFs, regulatory standards, and the Shipbuilding contract. One of MARINSPIRE's greatest strengths lies in the deep regional insight of our core members that are all based in the Far East. With a strong understanding of Shipyards' practices and working cultures, Our Site members bridge the gap between Shipowners' expectations and Shipyard execution.

05
Post Delivery Support

Extended Commitment Beyond the Delivery

Our commitment to Shipowners does not end with the Delivery Ceremony, we continue to provide dedicated support well into the vessel's early operational phase to ensure a smooth transition from construction to service.

Warranty Support and Crew Assistance

We understand that taking over a newly delivered vessel can be challenging, especially during the early days of operation. For this reason, our site team remains fully available to support the crew after departure, providing guidance and assistance as they familiarize themselves with the vessel's systems and operations. We maintain close communication with onboard personnel, helping them navigate technical documentation, understand system arrangements, and resolve any uncertainties. In parallel, we assist the Shipowner in managing Guaranty Claims during the warranty period when requested, supporting the resolution of issues through proper coordination with the Warranty Responsible Entity and Makers.
